How YOU Can Help Get RJAA Passed: - Schedule an In District Visit with your legislator. More information to help you with that visit will be posted soon. -Write a Letter. Here are 3 easy steps: 1. Know who you are writing to. If you do not know who your State Representative is, go to the Illinois State Board of Elections website from the link at the bottom of this page and search via your address. 2. Write your letter! Most of our Representatives need your impassioned argument to convince them that RJAA is something that will benefit all of their constituents. Click here for examples. This link also gives a list of Representatives who have already signed on. We are thanking these supporters and asking them to encourage their fellow Representatives to stand up for Reproductive Justice. 3. Get it delivered! ILNOW will be happy to deliver your letter in person as we go on in-district visits this summer. If you know someone who will be attending a meeting, you can send your letter with them. If you are typing a letter you can email it to illinoisnow@aol.com. If you are handwriting a letter, mail it directly to your representative or to ILNOW; PO Box 474; Springfield, IL 62705 for hand delivery. You can click on the name you got in step one to get your Representative’s mailing address and their email, if available.
