Join Lobbying Team

Lobbying Teams "make the call" to provide rapid contact, rapid response and result reporting during the state legislative sessions.

Rapid contact: Lobbying teams are rapid response teams of 4 or more people who can be contacted during the workday by text message (cell or email).

Rapid Response: LT members quickly call their state representative and/or senator. LTers deliver the message needed to support our legislative efforts.

Results Reporting: In addition they report back the results of their contact within an appropriate time frame so that it may be used in planning and prioritizing efforts.

As an LT member you will be provided with the information, contacts, and support you need to "make that call."

Illinois NOW Legislative Project

This project maintains a lobbyist in Springfield and works on the passage of legislation of special importance to women. IL NOW organizes at least one Lobby Day in Springfield in the Spring. Members can receive a monthly Legislative Summary from our lobbyist.
